Ola, mi amigos y mi amigas. Today is my 6th birthday! I am spending the day home alone because Mammas and Pappas have to go to work. Grandma Ellie and Grandpa Tom had to go up to Syracuse for their doctor stuff. Grandpa Zizu is busy getting better from his hip surgery and I can't visit him because he might trip over me and fall.
I'm such a perky, lively Chi that I sometimes get in people's way -- especially when they are going into the kitchen. I am always begging for treats and I have to work hard to get them. Mammas is very strict with me. She always watches my weight. That's why I'm so trim and healthy.
I can't wait until Gram comes home. Then I get a real vacation to the Spa! She will make me some chicken soup with vegetables. And I get my exercise running around the apartment.
I am looking forward to tonight when Mammas and Pappas come home, I think they are planning a surprise dinner for me. I overheard Mammas talking to Grandma Ellie on the phone the other night and she told her she was going to make me chicken soup, my favorite Chi dinner.
And they also spoke about all the presents I was getting. You see, Mammas doesn't always open the boxes that the UPS man delivers. She leaves them on the porch and I can read my name on them. I know I have lots of gifts to open. Grandma spoils me rotten. Every day is my birthday with her. She loves me so much and misses me when I am not with her.
I overheard Mammas talking about the summer. She and Pappas are going away and Grandma is going to take me to Syracuse for my month's vacation. I have so much fun up there. I get to see all my friends -- Mario, Max, Daisy and Bailey. Grandpa take me to Kennedy Park and for long walks along Onondaga Lake. Grandma takes me to the bead shop where everybody makes such a fuss over me. After all, who can resist this cute, loveable and handsome Chihuahua? Grandma tells me that there are others who still want to meet me. Well, what more can I say about myself? I'm such a wonderful, sophisticated, handsome, popular, terrific, GQ Chihuahua!!!
Oh yes -- send lots of presents!!!!
Adios amigos y amigas.

Trip to the Spa
I just spent ten days with Grandma and Grandpa at the Spa. It was a great vacation and I don't want it to end.
I got fed gourmet meals and slept as much as I wanted. I got to keep Grandma company because the elevator was being fixed in her building and she could not go out.
She was busy making ponchos for ladies in Syracuse, and she made one for me, too. She was also doing Kumihimo, which is a Japanese braid used in ancient times by the Samurai to hold their swords. Today it is used by the Geishas to tie their obi around their kimonos. Se, I learn a lot when I am here!
Grandma is making jewelry with her cords and it looks great. I am trying to learn how to do it, but my paws are too big. I can't hold the cord.
Every morning I have my yogurt licks and a couple of pieces of banana. A couple of times, I got some cantaloupe. For dinner I had some steak, broccoli and boiled potatoes.
One night I had chicken soup. I wasn't feeling well and I didn't give Gram her morning kisses and nor eat my banana. She knew I wasn't feeling well, so she made me my own special chicken soup. She really spoils me.
Daddy and Mommy came for supper one night and they had shrimp. Mommy told Gram not to give me any even though I tried to beg!!! But it didn't work. It was great to see them both, but when they were leaving, I just wanted to stay with Gram and go to sleep on her pillow.
I have to go home today because Gram and The Big Guy are going back to Syracuse. My Mommy won't let me go because they are going to be gone too long. Maybe I can go when they go back in April. They won't be gone too long. I want to see Bailey and Daisy when they go out for their walks. I can see them from the window and bark at them.
My birthday is March 12th and Mommy is making me a party. I know she has lots of presents for me because she is opening boxes with my name on them. She won't let me see what's in them, but I know they're for MOI!!!
I have to go back to that nasty Nero and my sweet Pia. I know I will have to claim my house back from Nero. When I'm gone, he takes over with Mommy. But he doesn't take my place with Daddy. I'm still his buddy!!!
I know that Mommy misses me too and I won't have to work too hard to get back with her.
I am going to miss Gram and The Big Guy, but I can remember the good times I had for ten days while I was here. Thanks, Gram and Grandpa!

Today
Was not really fun at all. Today mamas and her insanity decided to make waffles from scratch. I blame this all on mammaw because she bought mamas a waffle iron. So, mammaw, this one is on you. Papas and Mamas made home made waffles. Vanilla waffles, yummy cinnamon and vanilla waffles and guess what, there was none for the Chi. Nothing. Not a crumb. So, today we declare "Feed the Chi" day. Papas also said that this was "Pay Homage to the Chi" Month.. so Mamas decided to make lasagna. I am not sure what made her so hyper active today, but it paid off, or at least I heard. I got no lasagna. I got no waffles. All I got was kibble. End Of Story.

For all ya'll..
Since my summer vacation, I have been keeping busy. Back and forth to the spa in upstate. Here in Brooklyn with my girlfriends. Here and there for dinner parties. Hanging out with mama while she is reading her books and cleaning the house. I do not think I am contributing to the mess in the house, but I hear her and papa saying otherwise.
I understand that people need to work. I do have a lifestyle to keep up and a wardrobe to have, but at the same time, I feel that I should not be left alone during the day. Mama should stay home with me and keep me company. She should feed me and dress me and take me on fancy walks. I think that I need to talk to papa about this. I do need more than television to keep me company. I do like it when mama is here.. then I can snuggle with her. We hang together.
Today mama and I laid in bed and watched a movie on the laptop. it was so snuggly! I think I am going to try to persuade mama to do that once in a while. I like the bed better than the couch.
Peace out Cub Scouts!
